Is cannabis unhealthy for pets? Winnipeg Human Society thinks so
The Winnipeg Human Society in Canada is warning pet owners about the dangers of cannabis edibles for pets.
According to the organization, dogs are the most common animal they see that comes in with symptoms of cannabis toxicity.
Signs of toxicity include:
- Incoordination (stumbling or falling over)
- Lethargy (lack of energy)
- Dilated pupils
- Decreased heart rate
- Dribbling urine/ urinary incontinence
Although rarely fatal, many of these issues can be avoided if owners are careful with cannabis products for their pets.
